The Board

Yorkshire Coast Homes is managed by a Board of 15 Directors.

The Board is made up as follows:

·         5 Independent Directors – selected by the Board from volunteers who have relevant skills
·         5 Scarborough Borough Council Directors – nominated by the Borough Council
·         5 Tenant Directors – voted for by Tenants

The Board decides policy and strategy and monitors performance.

All Board Directors are unpaid volunteers.

Terms of Office:

Board Directors retire from the Board by rotation every 3 years but can be re-elected. We do not set maximum terms of office for individual Board Directors, but have regard to guidance that they should serve not more than three, three year terms.
