Complaints

At Yorkshire Coast Homes we take any complaints seriously. We see them as not only times when we could have done better, but also as a way of improving what we do in future.

As a customer of YCH you have the right to express your dissatisfaction if we:
• Give you misleading or incorrect advice;
• Fail to act according to our own standards;
• Treat anybody unfairly;
• Are rude to you;
• Fail to keep appointments;
• Postpone carrying out work without providing you with a good reason.

In addition there may be situations with which you are unhappy, but won’t be considered as a complaint by YCH, such as:
• The general law, unless wrongly applied;
• People of companies which we don’t have control over;
• Our overall policies e.g. rent levels;
• Matters which, are (or which could reasonably be expected to be) subject of court or tribunal hearings, or which are in the hands of YCH’s insurers.
