Paying my rent
There are lots of ways to pay your rent and they can be set up to suit the frequency of your income on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis:
Our Direct Debit payment option is simple, convenient and it really does make life easier. Once you’ve set up your direct debit arrangement you can relax in the knowledge that your rent will always be paid on time.
Direct Debits payments can be set up for any date of the month, on a variety of frequencies to suit your personal budget. The rent increase every April will be taken care of for you automatically, as will any adjustments that need to be made when your Housing Benefit award changes.
The scheme is paperless, and the set-up process couldn’t be simpler, just contact your Housing Officer and he or she will be happy to help you complete the process.
If you’re an existing Direct Debit customer with YCH you will also benefit because you’re now able to amend your payment date or frequency in order to set up the ideal arrangement for you.

Pay your rent online by logging onto the Allpay - just click the logo to go to the Allpay website. You could also download the Allpay App for your phone too.
These can be used at Post Offices or at any outlet displaying the Allpay/PayPoint sign to make cash payments. For further information about Allpay Outlets click on the allpay logo to the right.
This is via Allpay- Simply register by clicking the Allpay logo to the right to receive the benefits of being able to pay your rent on the move anytime, anyplace anywhere!

Bank Standing Order
Not as efficient as setting up a Direct Debit but once set up with your bank this method transfers a payment to cover your rent directly to us. You only have to change your Standing Order if your rent changes.

Rent payments by debit and credit card via the automated payment line
Call us on 0345 065 5656 and select option 1. This service is available 24 hours a day. Please have your Allpay card ready as you will need the 19 digit reference number. If you require an Allpay card then please email us at email@example.com. Please note that this service is for the payment of rent only.
Please note: If your circumstances change then so may your entitlement. Changes may include becoming responsible for a child, turning 60, becoming part of a couple, change of job, ill health or reduction in your savings.
